Château
Laffitte Carcasset
Cru Bourgeois Supérieur
Sir Jean Laffitte, the attorney of the King of France in Bordeaux, had bought Château Laffitte Carcasset in 1781 and had started to produce wine. This 18th century charter house is surrounded by vineyards and is located on the gravelly plateau of the Saint-Estèphe appellation.
In 1955, the viscount Pierre de Padirac acquired the property: the vineyards had expanded, and technical improvements had been made for proper winemaking.
Mr. Pierre Rousseau became the new owner in December 2016 after purchasing the estate. A new era has started with great ambitions for the quality and the notoriety of the wines.
